What a start to February! Need a restart!

So the start of the month was bad, hopefully doesn't get worse! Hubby got up and was in pain in the groin area. I told him to just stay home, he says he cant. So he heads to work, calls me about 30 minutes later is in a parking lot says he is going to go to Urgent Care, that he is in lots of pain, cant push on the pedals really and stuff. He wants to go there as the cost is cheaper. Goes and they have no clue so send him to the ER anyways. So he calls to tell me he is at the ER this is at 2:00 PM. I ask him is it busy, he said nope not a person there. YET it still takes them an hour to see him, he did get a shot in the butt for pain. (Tessa thought that one was funny..lol) Then he sits there for another 3 hours before they check him! Got him X-rays and nothing. So they send him home. So no answers for him either! So tired of hospitals and doctors here. So gave him a pain killer last night, this morning still pain, he goes to work thou. Then is told they need him tomorrow. I just want him to stay home and be lazy. So how has your month started off? lol

Oh no, I'm sorry! I wonder if he maybe pulled a muscle in his groin or has a hernia (although a hernia would show up on an x-ray, I would think...) Our ER is like that too, it can be completely empty and they still take forever to call you back or check on you! I'm sorry your hubby got such lousy care. You would think they'd do a CT scan or something else in addition to an x-ray. I mean, what if he has kidney stones or something? Ugh. The healthcare industry really needs to get its act together!

When my hubby had hernias they were visible to an examining doctor, but an internal one would not be. @Srbageldog you thought of many of the things I thought of. I would throw in UTI also as a possibility, but that would be easy to determine from a specimen.

He is still in pain, last night was rough as he thought a hot bath would help, made it so much worse. Today he said it is a little better, but he has been telling me that every day and then gets home from work and I can tell he is still in pain. This sucks!

@GardenGerty Sometimes ER doctors (well, doctors in general) are very incompetent. I once went to the ER over a femoral hernia I knew I had, which was causing me a great deal of pain. The doctor on duty had never even heard of a femoral hernia and kept claiming that the hernia would be down on my thigh. He suggested that I see my doctor about getting it "taken out." That a doctor doesn't even know that hernias are REPAIRED, not "taken out," is astonishing and also terrifying.

Oh man so sorry. Hope that pain passes soon. Anyway it's kidney stones? I have no idea where hurts when people have them, just know they come from around there lol

@Courtlynn Reading up on it online they say it can be caused by a few things. He will be doing some of my herbals to see if they help him.

That is pain normally in the back, which he does have and the scan did show a scan. However he thinks it is just his job, the back hurting that is and it could be. Standing all day on cement in work boots isn't nice.

I can think of lots of reasons for that pain but either one of the ER or urgent care should have caught them with an actual exam or with blood work and urine specimens. I hope things get better from here. Could it be a pulled muscle?

I thought hernia but they say no. I dont think they even took blood work! I'm going to ask when he gets home tonight from work. I know the ER didn't even do his blood pressure or anything like that. I lost faith in the medical field with my own health problems and now with his.

Well I hope he gets this figured out and finds out what is going on. Does he have a primary doctor he can see during the week ? Sucks he's gotta work again and can't stay home and rest.

He does have one but has never been help with anything else, so hubby wont go. One time his right hand swelled really bad and it was painful. Gave him pain killers and sent him home. It went down slowly, took about a week. We still have no idea what it was thou.

@Blondie2222 If only there was some closer to really have a choice. I'm looking for a new one too. This is the one time I dont like living in the small town we do. No doctors here and have to travel as it is.

@Ithink ah i see. Then it would be time to find another doctor that is willing to help and work with you on what is going on. That's what I do if I'm not satisfied with who I am seeing.

Not great, our tax return will be a dud so we have to cancel our vacation plans again, and my daughter has to go to urgent care tomorrow for a sore throat. I hope it's not strep!

Owww not a good one indeed. But anyway, that one doesn't mean that the whole month would be bad month for you and your family. Get well soon to your hubby

My mother had a sharp pain near her groin too. The doctor didn't tell her much either. She thinks she pulled a muscle when she was painting about a week ago.
