Today is the birthday party of my boyfriend's Mom. Their place is about 12 hours travel from mine. I supposed to be one of the guests on that party but I wasn't able to attend because I'm not feeling well since yesterday. Due to that reason, my boyfriend asked me instead to send a video greetings which I failed to do again because of very short notice and I was busy yesterday. I know he was disappointed of what happened. Though he never mentioned about it, his silence means Yes!

Yes, I can understand your feeling towards your boyfriend. Naturally he would expect greetings from his girl friend on his mother's birthday. I can get your emotions but then since you have not done anything deliberately to make him unhappy you be just relaxed and tell him later why you couldn't wish her! Now cheer up and enjoy ! I totally understand how you feel, but I think your boyfriend and "mother-in-law" might even forget that. Here it isn't always a big deal, it happens to feel sick and the place was also far away. You should probably visit her as soon as possible, genuinely apologize you couldn't come, explain why you couldn't even record the greetings and bring a nice gift. Hopefully your "mother-in-law" will celebrate her birthday next year, and you might be there.
