Thanks for listening to my grumbling. For some reason I harbor so much guilt in leaving jobs even though, lets face it, I am replacable! It poses an additional challenge when you have 9 different supervisors. I went ahead and sent my resignation letter attached in an email to the assistant director and operations manager who, almost instantly forwarded it to all the supervisors. Suddenly,in a short manner of minutes I had multiple new emails in my inbox - expressing sadness, wishing me the best, advising if I ever wanted to return I would be welcome (which is great!) And one particularly crazy supervisor asking me where I was going to next.
The kicker is I told her... That I would not tell her. In the most respectful way I could manage. An added bit of stress is this management group has been known to make other agencies offers "disappear" - a few cases are known around the workplace of supervisors unsolicitedly badmouthing you to where they think you are headed. Totally illegal and not legitimate. But it happens.
So, unemployment could be in my future as well if they decide to go that route. I am trying to pinch my pennies and in the mean time hope my current managers dont do these shady practices to me. But we shall see. At any rate it feels like a burden has slightly been lifted now that the brass know I am leaving.
Have you ever experieced something similar in your workplace? And anything new going on in your worlds this week?

Good luck then in your job hunting.
Hubby also will be jobless by the 15th. Actually, I like it that he is out of his present job because his boss is a slave driver. Even at night, my husband would be reporting through viber of the performances of the branches that my husband handles.
My husband worked even on Sundays only to be told that he will not be regularized and the 15th as his last day. The 2 other new team leaders have been terminated earlier.

I think, had I been in your position, I would have lied to that supervisor. I would have simply said I was stepping away from my career for a little while and hoped that I would still be welcomed at your current place of employment.
Shmooze.
I quit my job, I think it had to be in September. I know you remember me griping about that. To be honest, I have been struggling to earn but I am not willing to go back into the same field I was in before. I won't allow myself to feel stressed out and over worked again.

What field was it if you dont mind me asking? And what field are you looking to get into, or maybe still in the deciding stages? I am glad you were able to do that. Stress is not good for you at all. I wanted to lie and say that but I wasnt sure if they were in "cahoots" since it is a neighboring organization and these department heads tend to talk outside of work. So as far as I know they already know. Lol

My husband will be hard to replace in his job. He gave them two years notice....they didn't take him seriously. Now they are down to 101 days until he leaves. We are waiting to see what will happen.

Can you believe that? I dont know if these instances were reported to human resources - I hppe so - and I will for sure try to take some action if things go that route considering my discipline-free work history. For a very lare and legit organization, I never would have expected this type of behavior.

When you apply for the new job and put down past employment they may call and ask what kind of work you were and how many days you missed etc. I cried when I told my boss I had to quit I felt so guilty. She was very nice about it!

My daughter's supervisor has sabotaged her time and again from getting promotions within her company. She tells the other departments she can't let her go, it is ridiculous.

Left the work force a while ago, I was going to apply again until the commercial space was built.
Good luck on your future plans.

Good luck with your job hunting. I hope you aren't unemployed for too long. I've had a few unpleasant experiences in my past work life but my last job, before I retired, was great. I was there over 12 years.
