These street dogs

It is late past night here and sunrise is just few hours away I am reading 'Anatomy of Murder' but feeling so disturbed with these street dogs, gang of 4-5 who are incessantly barking for last 1hours.I don't understand why they all together lift the whole sky on their elevated nose and never calm down. Can any dog lover educate me about their phycology I am really very serious to understand that. What actually their expectations are from the world?
