Last night I talked to my oldest friend. We have known each other since elementary school and have been friends ever since. We were really close in high school and right before I left Oregon to move to Florida. Hes probably one of two or three people from that part of my life that I still talk to. Anyway last night he messaged me to tell me his cancer was back, for the third time. He was diagnosed the first time almost three years ago at twenty five years old with colon cancer. It came back about a year ago and we thought he was doing really well.
About a week ago he went in to see his doctor and found out not only is the cancer back but this time it has spread to his lung. They are going to do chemo again and try to get it, but he's really worried and upset about his new diagnosis. Which I don't blame him. When he told me I was upset too.

I didn't know what to say when he first told me. I was angry and then sad. Really sad, but then I realized I need to be there for him and try to be supportive as he gets ready to do chemo again.

That is sad...he is so young too! I guess all you can do is hope and pray for the best. Where in Oregon are you from? i have family there.

@thislittlepennyearns That is where my family lives. I have visited both places. I used to have a friend who grew up in Salem too.

Oh my gosh @thislittlepennyearns and he is sooooo young. Hopefully with the new technology where they use pin-point lasers, it will turn out well.

I have my fingers crossed that he will beat it this time. And he is very young for such an aggressive cancer.

so sorry. i have been plagued with it since i was nearly 50 yrs. had it 3 times also. each time gets scarier. I hope they finally get it all. it helps to stay upbeat and believe you will be okay. i will pray for him. that also helps.

I know tha it doesn't look good. But all I can do is hope that they caught it in time, and hope for the best possible outcome.
