What a Marvelous Weekend

It began on Friday with the pick-up of the chairs and then a visit from our pest control man to treat the exterior of our house. We then went to lunch with a fellow setback player from home in Connecticut who was visiting her brother in Ocala.
Our friends Irene and Pete arrived at about 4 p.m. to stay the weekend and we enjoyed drinks on the screen porch before heading out for a lovely Italian dinner.
We began Saturday with brunch, a trip to the Appleton Art Museum to see the Rembrandt Etching special exhibit and then our favorite antique store.
We returned home and enjoyed chatting until it was time for dinner at the Crazy Cucumber. When we returned home I did some genealogy research for the both of them.
Sunday morning I made breakfast of scrambled eggs before they headed off to the airport and we went to church.
After church, we came home to rest up a bit and then went off to Al's brother's house for cards and dinner and a little super bowl watching.
Today I am taking it easy and getting ready to do some laundry. The house seems strangely empty!!

Thank you it was and they insisted on paying for every meal!! They only let me pay for the museum entrance.

@BelleStarr That always seems to be the case when vacations are over, friends leave, holiday's come to an end. Life doesn't seem exciting anymore, and you hate going back to work even more, even though it does bring a sense of normalcy to ones life.

It does and we are always trying to get our friends to visit us here in Florida and they are the first ones in two years to actually stay with us, we were so glad. My girlfriend Kathy has stayed with us before but her daughter is expecting a baby so she can't come down.

Sounds like you had quite a busy weekend. Glad you got to enjoy it with friends eating and drinking love those weekends. I had a busy weekend with my boyfriend and watched part of the superbowl at the bowling alley. Today it's another work week starting yay me lol.

Being retired, there are times our life down here in Florida is a bit quiet for us. So having company is very exciting.

That's a good question but I have no idea and their website doesn't tell me but the food is very good.

Your weekend sounded busy and fun too. I can hardly wait to get south. We leave at 5 am tomorrow, the air bus picks us up and takes us to the airport.
