The best song of 1949 was sung by the great country legend Hank Williams “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry”. When Hank Williams first wrote this song he meant for the words to be spoken. He recorded that in Cincinnati, at Herzog Studios. There's a marker outside where Herzog Studios used to be, commemorating the fact that Hank recorded in Cincinnati. Sadly, it's the only building still standing where Hank recorded. All of the other studios he used in Nashville have been razed.
