Planning on Doing Lasik

I am tired of struggling with glasses because of not being able to afford vision insurance and not being able to pay for glasses up front. I would rather get Lasik eye surgery done and never have to worry about paying for glasses again. I am going to see if Groupon can help me out with cost at a well known place for Lasik. I am nervous about getting it but the excitement of being able to finally see clearly without glasses supersedes my nervousness.
Has anyone else had it done before? Any recommendations for a place to go to?

My bf is chicken to do eye surgery though he needs it cuz he drives me nuts with his ocd and glasses.
