Truth and Fortitude in Social Media.

In social media, people of dim wits usually employ "Argumentum Ad Hominem," in their rebuttals. This argument is a personal attack on someone who posted or commented about an issue. So, Instead of delving on the subject at hand, the thread becomes a bashing on a person, not the substance of the issue. Last year, I commented on one subject that pervaded the international news. At once, I received a considerable amount of name calling and expletives. I chose to stand my ground and as patiently and as logically reversed the attacks, proving the bullies wrong. Today, the thread rendered me an unsolicited and most gratifying notification. That is what it says in the picture. I thought at first that it was incredible, but quickly deemed it believable, because there are intelligent and well meaning people who would express their hearts and minds in the social media. The name is Jasmine, and I thank this Child for perceiving the Veritas and acknowledging it. Only with truth and fortitude could the world win over the fabrications and deceit and wrong mindsets.

You are so right. When a person doesn't have a sound argument, they resort to name-calling.

This pack is pretty intense, not the ordinary trolls. This pack believes they are superior and never wrong. Sigh.

Were you up against the followers of a certain President who isn't presidential in any way or form? I won't be surprised.

The topic was on ivory versus ebony, and the rest of the colors. You are right, the vehemence was triggered by a self-obsessed leader.

This is why I don't hang out in facebook when it comes to news regarding politics. And I stopped it also here in mylot. But I missed those who left here which is really sad.
