So Remember Last Year?

You probably don't remember what happened last year, so I will tell you. I had just had my hair done and my husband loved the new look, so out to dinner we went.
We were seated outdoors next to a Canadian couple from London, Ontario. He smoked cigarettes like a chimney, and his wife kept sneaking peeks my way. Finally, she asked me where I had my hair done and I told her. I actually wrote it down on a piece of paper and included the salon, my hairdresser's name, the phone number, and my name.
Well guess who walked into the salon yesterday when I was there? The woman still had that piece of paper with the information, although the name of the salon had changed. The woman remembered me, and set up an appointment for tomorrow.
What a coincidence!!!!

She has a condo here and would rather live in the USA than Canada, but her family is up there. She told me she got a call for a surgery appointment, so had to drive all the way back to Canada. Imagine that? Here, we get scheduled and have a set date. It ruined her Florida time. At least she popped into the salon. Unreal!!!

@DianneN You were lucky, the wind always blows the smoke in my direction. We have renounced to eat outdoor where smoking is still allowed. There are more and more places where smoking is forbidden also in the outside area of the restaurants.

Oh, yes, Orville is here as I write. He's doing very well and stopped to show me a rather large fish and his son showed me a tiny fish. I still felt compelled to cheer and applaud.
My granddaughter had a rather important competition last Friday, her first of the season, and took second place. We were all extremely pleased. She certainly has learned a lot since last year. Thanks so much.
