The negative side of the rainy season

Currently, in my country is ongoing rainy season. Over 3 months, almost every day it rains. Lately, there are been landslides and floods in some areas. Very horrible, they lack food and most of them get disease.
Floods, landslides, storms and winds are the negative side of the coming rainy season.
How on your side, does the rainy season not only make the plants fertile but many disasters?

We only get rain in winter here in Jerusalem and it is good for us.

Winter is a very bad time for my health. I tend to get sick easily srisahara but we do need rain now.

Too much rain is not beneficial anymore.It can destroy crops.It can kill people and damage house and infrastures.It can can cause you to lost millions and create burden to the government.We experienced heavy rains and typhoons in the Philippines lately and it's emotionally and economically draining especially to those who are affected.
