I had to try it

So, one of the latest gimmicks is SmartWater. Supposedly, it has electolytes added to it to make it taste better, and somehow be better for you. It is crazy how much people will pay for a supposedly better for you water. I had an Ibotta rebate but it wasn't like I was going to pay 6 to 9 dollars for water. I did buy a single bottle though because I was curious if it really did taste any better. It is pleasant tasting water..but don't think I could pick it out of line up with other waters. Do you ever feel compelled to try things just for the experience?

I haven't tried it but I know they add electrolytes to the water they give horses that are used for endurance riding so I guess they are good for you.

@snowy22315 Sorry, I've corrected that. I am making those sorts of mistakes more and more lately. I rarely buy water. Our tap water at home is fine to drink.

I do try things occasionally just for a different experience. I always said I would never buy that water but I was having some troubles with my innards--they would suddenly cramp up for no reason and it was very painful. My brother told me to drink enhanced water like zero calorie Gatorade or anything with electrolytes. I did so and in a couple days I stopped having trouble. So I was wrong when I thought enhanced water was just a stupid fad for silly people--it actually has some redeeming and useful value!

Well, I suppose it works for some. I have nothing against Gatorade. I mean athletes drink that. However, I don't think I have any reason to need extra electolytes. I am not an athlete nor do I have digestive issues.

@snowy22315 I drink a lot of water, although less since I quit smoking, and I guess it flushes out electrolytes and other things your body needs if you go overboard. It certainly surprised me!

I've tried those stupid waters, but they did nothing for me. I'm fine with regular water. I don't seem to need electrolytes.

Yes back when Epinions was still up and running I would buy stuff just to try and review it. I knew I’d earn $$ on the review and sometimes ALOT of $.

I would try anything, depending on the price. I'm also very picky with water haha

Once in awhile I get duped into buying something and then am usually quite disappointed after. It is crazy how much they charge for things.

Well if people will buy it, I guess they feel justified.

I've had the smartwater before and I do enjoy it. It is pretty expensive so I don't get it often i just buy regular bottle water.

I don't even buy bottled water very often..the plastic isn't really good for you..and water is free out of the tap. I do drink it if I am offered it though.

It's funny how commerce made it so that people rarely drank any water and now that we are smart enough to realize that water is the best beverage they are trying to get us to pay an arm and a leg for water? Haven't we become a bit smarter than we were?

No, if the price is ridiculously high for something, I skip. The taste cannot top the price, it is never the case.

I've had Smartwater before, and I wasn't impressed by it at all. I am perfectly happy drinking tap water, which I filter through a Brita filter. It tastes just fine to me. And if I ever need electrolytes, I will just drink a Gatorade! lol

Yeah, unless you are an athelete or have some sort of digestive issues, I think plain old tap water is just fine!

Supposedly it is...it didn't taste bad. Drinking water in general is good anyway.
