Would you pick up a dime?

My husband and I were just at Home Depot. On the way out I noticed a dime on the ground. I kept on walking.
I started thinking about what I did almost immediately though. I thought that I was a spoiled American to just walk on past money on the ground. I thought that I was lucky to be in a position where I *could* walk past money. Then I wondered if I would have gone by if it was a quarter. (probably not)
Would you walk by a dime on the ground or would you pick it up? What about a penny?

I would've just walked right past it. If it was penny on heads then I would pick it up for good luck.

I'd pick it up and add it to the rest of my extra change. We use up the change at the self checkout.

I pick up every coin I find, unless one of my kids beats me to it. I found a dime hiding under the warmer for the rotisserie chickens at the grocery store this morning, and last night I picked up two pennies in different checkout lanes.
I haven't really been keeping track of how much I've found recently, but in a bit over 6 months last year I managed to collect over $60 in coins and bills.
I have a special bowl set aside for all of the money I find. On December 31, I emptied it out started fresh the next day with just a few pennies I I found at...

I would pick up a dime, maybe a nickel. But probably not a penny.

It takes less time to pick up a penny than what it takes to earn a penny online. It all adds up when in need.

@NJChicaa There's five or six on the bathroom floor that have been there for a few days. I was curious to see if anyone else would pick them up. Apparently not.

I pick up any money even if it's just a penny but I would have been excited about that dime

I pick any coin of any denomination. A penny saved is a penny earned. You may scoff but they add up over time.

@JohnRoberts I'm the same way Once I was in a gross bathroom as a kid and bent down to pick up a penny and my mother who is truly germaphobic flipped out. I was just going to wash it in the sink with soap and water lol well as an adult and parent myself I can understand why she freaked out.
