Is picture always necessary for a discussion?

When I was a newbie in this site ,I didn't know that I can add a picture for my discussion!
Then I came to know that I can......by seeing other's discussion..!!
Onwards, I will add picture to whatever discussion I post ..! From my view, I think pictures are important for a discussion, because it somewhat depicts what our discussion is going to be about!
I do wonder how @Kandae11 , @m_audrey6788 , @mandala100 always choose a best picture for their discussion..! The picture what they choose will be so apt for their discussion!
I too searched a perfect pic for this post, but I didn't get,so I found this one
I don't know how far this pic is apt for this post!

A picture is not always necessary for a discussion, though it may help to illustrate it, of course, and it may encourage one or two more people to respond that might otherwise have been the case. In general, a picture should always be relevant to and illustrate a discussion, rather than the other way round. 'Discussions' which consist only of a picture and just a few words are very often removed.

Pictures draw the attention and I believe they make visual impact too. I am told that we don't get anything extra for posting pictures here! Still if given a choice I prefer to post the pictures if an appropriate one suiting the discussion or response is available with me dear @Teekaaa !Thanks!

I only add a photo if my discussion requires it. Other times I don't add a photo and other times if I am discussing a song or music I add a YouTube video. So it really depends on what I am discussing or telling people about.

Thank you for the mention Yes your observation on my way of posting pictures is to let readers understand what I`m pointing out on my discussion because I`m not perfect with my grammars but atleast readers can see what I want to point out about and can share whatever they can understand 1 person likes this
