The art of Rene Lalique

Ever since I have been interested in collecting antiques and collectables, I have always loved old glass. Lalique glass is one of the most collectable makes of glass that you will find. Sadly, I do not own any myself because it is very expensive to buy. But I have heard of people finding this sort of glass at car boot sales for very little money. This can happen when the person selling it does not realise exactly what it is. So I will keep looking

This is true, and this is why some good items can still be found in charity shops and second hand shops etc.

I believe my mother had Lalique. Not sure where that ended up, but she always talked about the value of the piece she had.

@millie02 I do know it was a vase, and I remember that is was primarily blue.

@Corbin5 We will have to find out more. Perhaps go on an antiques website and learn about blue Lalique vases. I could also have a look for some information in my book.
