The Winter Olympics is Good Entertainment

That is, of course if you can follow or even hear about what's being scheduled at what time. I find they are remiss in informing the public or at least mapping out the times that events are on. Many are repeated and if you don't hear every word you don't realize it. But still, what I have caught so far has been wonderful and I particularly enjoyed the figure skating and the curling competitions so far. Canada is not doing too badly either. Of course, especially in the North, we are a winter sport country. It's great fun watching and I hope I can find more good events to see this week!

I literally turn on the tv - and whatever events are on - that is what I watch ! But definitely figure skating is up my alley - and I have watched most of the Team event. I must say that I think Canada really earned their gold in the figure skating team event . I love the Winter Olympics and look forward to catching most of it!

@MarymargII Yes - the halfpipe is the course - the shape of it is like half a pipe cut the long way. I don't know if it's considered to be the same as a vert in skateboarding . . . but it's that back and forth action with the aerial tricks in snowboarding. Chloe Kim did an amazing job - certainly deserved that gold!!

I have not been able to watch curling. Had no idea when it was airing. I did see in my guide on TV that there is curling airing late night tonight. But I will be watching other Olympic coverage, which I will be DVRing. Will see if maybe I can DVR curling as well.

I know - often they are going on simultaneously and you end up missing some. PVR-ing is a great answer!

Personally I am not a sports fan at all, so I don't watch the Olympics at all. My sister loves the figure skating.

I watch the figure skating but it's not my favourite- I like the moguls, snowboarding, curling and hockey- because they're more exciting!

I have seen that Norway for the moment is the country with more medals 11 in total, Canada is second with 10.

I'm enjoying it immensely. Of course, I'm rooting for the USA! I enjoy the female figure skaters and skiing, but am partial to the Summer Olympics for gymnastics, swimming, and running.

Yes I do like the Summer Olympics as well but seem to miss a lot of it too- a busier time for most people. USA got Gold in the men's luge didn't they? Great in the snowboarding too!

Although not so much a winter sport country some Australians are competing too. I doubt I'm going to catch much of it although there was some on the news last night.

Australia did well in the women's moguls the first two times but then fell back. A sweet girl and I felt sorry for her!

I have no idea whats going on this year. Some for thereasons you stated and the other reason is that the cable provider here dropped nbc from its service.
