I know we can't necessarily promote things here. But I am just wondering how many myLotters are professional writers, have written successful books? Are any of you successful bloopers as well?

I've successfully written three books. Whether or not they are successful remains to be seen. I'm eternally hopeful though!

Congrats! I am sure that is a lot of work. How much time did you invest? I wish you success on those books.

@taciaelisepeace I couldn't really say how much time it took. The first novel was loosely based on Irish folklore and I did a lot of research for it. The second book was more of my imagination than anything. The third one is short stories. Thanks

Not yet. But I hope to reach it once. What about you? Do you write and publish your books?

@taciaelisepeace There are many options to take writing classes online. I also considered it. My favourit genres are novels and poetry.

Keep trying! What genres do you enjoy? For me not at all but I am considering taking writing classes and maybe getting into it as a hobby first!

@taciaelisepeace it would be quite a big help! And accelerate the learnings itself. Who knows! But it surely would maybe someday.

I am below entry level haha but I think I may take some classes and try to learn the ropes as a hobby.

I have published ten books and put together and published two international poetry anthologies. I am by no means a best-selling author but still proud of what I accomplished.

That is an amazing accomplishment! Congrats on your hard work! What do you enjoy most about the entire process? What do you enjoy least?

@taciaelisepeace What I enjoy least is probably proofing the manuscript for typos and such. I end up proofing the entire manuscript many times. And even with that some typos always go unnoticed until the book is already published. The writing is what I enjoy the most, of course. And I love creating book covers too. I wish I were a graphic artist. There is still much to learn when it comes to manipulating images.

@lovebuglena I am not good at proofing myself so I can see how that is frustrating. I love the talent that comes with graphic art. Definitely go for it!
