The Vortex of Online

There is a site that I infrequently visit. I stay away from the site mainly because it sucks me in. I find myself on it for hours at a time, sucked into the vortex of amusement it provides. There is one particular part of the site that I love the most, one that leaves me feeling terrified after I am done with it. It is a section where people write stories that you are meant to believe. They are all fake, or so we hope, but we are meant to believe them and comment under them as such. I have contributed my own stories there once or twice, but it's been a long time. I am thinking of making a conscious effort to write for them more often. I won't get paid, but the experience it will provide is payment enough. I need to work more on my writing skill. I have all of these ideas in my head and I don't let them out as much as I should. They end up crowding my mind, and I need to let them out.

That sounds neat though so if it was something I enjoyed I wouldn't be worried about being sucked it. We need to take time to enjoy ourselves.

I fold the laundry and put it away only when I have another load that has to go in the dryer.

I definitely agree we need to take time to enjoy ourselves, but I tend to forget / neglect the household chores! Like the laundry I washed today, it's been dry for about three hours...

@shaggin Certainly, we need to find time for our own enjoyment.

What is that site and why write fakeries? If it doesn't resonate with you you better leave it. I can recommend a different site if you like to blog. You only need a Paypal or Payza to get your payment.

Do you make notes about story ideas? That can be helpful.

On occasion. I usually just open a notepad document on the computer and write them up quickly.

I have too many ideas crowding my mind too. It's very frustrating.

A family member actually told me about a program I could use. It is supposed to help the writer keep track of their ideas, different plots, locations, etc. He never told me what it was called though.
