It is only Tuesday and I am exhausted. Our students get very mentally geared up for holidays. Especially when there is candy involved.
I will not even go into details about the day.
Also, I am getting some extra exercise during the day. That makes me tired.
So, I stayed up late last night, but I am headed to bed at a decent time tonight.
I put bags of chocolate candy in my coworkers' lockers with a note that said "Great coworkers are worth a fortune. Unfortunately all I can offer you is CHOCOLATE !
I put in candies that are called "millionaires" and chocolate hearts, and a chocolate bar wrapped like a dollar bill.
Have a happy Mardi Gras today and a happy Valentine's Day/beginning of Lent tomorrow.

On our team we do exchange gifts. Since others do other holidays, I chose Valentines Day and surprised them. They are good co workers.

What kinds of traditions do you have for the Spring Festival? I know this week is Chinese New Year, but know very little about it.

@GardenGerty Yesterday was New Year's eve and we should stay up all night according to traditions,but I went to bed at 11 pm,without seeing the Spring festival evening gala through.Today is Chinese New Year and we begin to pay New Year's call.It will last 6 days .People who are in work will go to work on Feb. 22th.

They do nice things here for me as well. For New Years, or after Christmas, one co worker made home made sugar scrub for us.

What kind of work did you do? That might be the reason. I tend to take "caregiving" type jobs as that, and education, are where my strengths are.

Sounds like a nice day. I did not get anyone anything for V-day this year besides my boyfriend. Next year i'll probably get something for my coworkers though but we will see. I am exhausted too as work has been pretty busy.

A number of my co workers were not able to do their usual Steak on Valentines Day due to it being Ash Wednesday. Others opted for lobster.

Our newest co worker is a single mom. Keeps waiting for her toddler to go to bed, so she does not have to share, but he is having a hard time sleeping. She says she has not gotten to eat any yet.

I'm definitely exhausted too. That being said: I was so confused yesterday. I thought yesterday was Wednesday and that today would be Thursday. Boy, was I embarrassed about my error.

There are days I am confused. I get it. Even Wednesday night, knowing it had been Valentine's Day all day I asked hubby what day of the week it was.
