How will you celebrate Valentine's Day?

Even though I told my husband more than once that I always want to celebrate Valentine's Day by going out to a fine restaurant, he doesn't actually plan anything. It seems like my husband did not plan anything for this Valentine's Day. Unless it is a surprise but I doubt it. I am thinking that maybe I should take matters into my own hands and make a reservation somewhere. Thing is, I don't know when he will finish work and hence get home, so it's hard to pick a time to make a reservation for. We can probably go somewhere without a reservation but there is no guarantee there will be an empty table. How will you celebrate Valentine's Day?

I’m gonna hit the store tomorrow to get that 50% off chocolate!

It's weird but I actually don't like chocolate. So, it doesn't matter to me if it's on sale or not. Though I love drinking hot chocolate and I love Rocher candy.

Why don't you stay at home and order not the usual boring pizza but something special and expensive? It will always be much cheaper than going out. You'll have a table for yourself and no overworked waiter will annoy you.

@lovebuglena That's not what I was thinking of. Can't one order something more complicated than a pizza to be delivered to your home? A real meal?

The atmosphere is not the same. And the dishes served at restaurants I most definitely won't be able to do at home. I love eating out.

He doesn't sound like a romance type. I don't have any attachments, so not celebrating.

Maybe get inspired by a new recipe and set up a fancy dinner at home? :) We don't celebrate it, we usually go on dates and give each other surprise gifts all the time.

Of course, that's the way it should be. But I still wanna celebrate V Day by going out to eat. And it doesn't have to be super expensive.

@lovebuglena True, well when in doubt set up a reservation late. And if he gets home early either show up early to see if they can seat you or find something fun to do while waiting :) Just some suggestions.
