and it is 2 in the evening. I am so excited although I have not win in the LoveHub Writing Contest at HubPages. It is the first time that I participated in a writing contest. I didn't win but my recipe article is one of the 3 runner ups in the contest. Now I have to calm myself. I am motivated to write more often on my main writing site.
My recipe is about how I made the mango peanut butter Valentines dessert. I can't put the link on here but I can show you the photo.
Have you participated in a contest before?
Ok. Now I will try to sleep as I have to wake up early. My son will eat lunch with us and I have to cook.

I have competed in a photo contest and I won one. I have never written on Hub Pages though I have considered it.

Very pretty! I can't say that I've ever had mango with peanut butter flavor before - is this a recipe you created? Even runner up is pretty good in a contest! I have participated in various contests . . . never a cooking one though. As far as food goes, the closest I got to it was making a paper pizza for a paper creation contest

Yes, I have created this recipe last week @much2say. I had mangoes at home which was almost over ripe and I was thinking what I could do about them and so I searched in my kitchen cupboard some food that would go with it. I have seen peanut butter and made myself creative. It was very delicious and so I wrote on Hubpages how I made the dessert and submitted this to the Valentine’s LOVEHUB Writing contest. @thelme55 I sometimes have overripe mangoes and have no idea what to do with them - I should have realized something could still be made/baked - but I didn't think to do anything but toss them! How creative you are in the kitchen and good that you were able to write about it

@thelme55 I haven't been very active there lately. I'm too busy with my own blogs and other sites. They keep changing everything and I have too many hubs I have to either update or move to my own sites. I haven't make up my mind yet whether to write new hubs or whether the site is about to die like many of the others.

I know of your winning the contests before. You, didn't know It? Have you not visited your hubs for a while @bagarad? No, it was not all recipes. They were various hubs from a love story, poem, recipes and anything to do with Valentine’s Day.

@bagarad I see. I don't write much there but I keep on updating my hubs . I don't think HP will die soon as there are staffs who are taking good care of it.Actually, it is still the best writing site that I have and still earning passive income from my old hubs.

You probably could, as long as you have lots of media, quizzes, etc. to go with your article. But unless you have about 50 articles of quality you probably won't see any money for a long time, and you will make the most if you can include some Amazon products that people want to buy. I haven't added any new hubs in at least a couple of years. I'll probably be moving a lot of mine to my own sites or elsewhere. HubPages keeps changing the rules and I'm tired of having to redo Hubs whenever the rules change.

I participated for a writing contest when I was still in my primary and high school.It has different categories for campus journalism.I'm not really that excited about the results but the fun of being a participant and the activities excites me more.
