My Valentine’s Day 2018

I took the puppy out as soon as I woke up and while outside realized I forget to give my kids their presents first thing.
When I got back inside my kids were just coming down the stairs and I told them how I forgot. They both had forgotten about Valentine’s Day as well.
I gave my daughter the art supplies I saw she wanted on Amazon plus some candy. I gave my son a video game he’s been talking about constantly for a month and some candy.
My dad stopped over around 3 and gave each of us a $10 Walmart gift card. I gave him a candy bar I bought for him.
Then about an hour later my sister stopped over and I gave her a little something for her 4 kids and she did the same for my 2. Plus she got me those Big Reece’s Cups with Reece’s Pieces in them. I ate it immediately!
After my kids had dinner and I got done with the dishes my boyfriend, his son and dog came by. You can see my gift to him in the photo. I also gave his son a tiny box of chocolates with a puppy on the front that looked just like his dog.
My boyfriend brought me a veggie patty from Subway, a bottle of wine and a box of Russell Stover chocolates.
It was a nice day and I hope all the lovely people here in mylot land had a good day too

@shaggin Here giving gifts are a personal choice. Why can't you spend 'only that much at Christmas'? Seems your gifts were well received.
For Valentine we give each other chocolate or nothing at all. It is not yet rooted that it is compulsory like Christmas.

I hope your kids enjoyed their goodies you got them. I hope you find something good to spend your walmart giftcard on your dad gave you. I am sure everyone enjoyed their goodies they received as well. Me and my boyfriend had subway as well took it ice fishing with us to enjoy with some other snacks.

@shaggin Thanks it was a good time. Was bummed we didn't get no fish though had something on twice but it broke the line both times and got lose . Oh well there is always next time.

I did not expect my father to get us gift cards. It was so sweet but I wish he had saved his money instead. My kids were very happy with it already planning what they will buy when we go shopping tomorrow.

Valentine's Day is not really something that's significant to me. But I got balloons and a rose. My family usually dines out so it's a pretty common thing for us.

That's okay it doesn't need to be a special day for everyone. My sisters boyfriend thinks it's dumb so they didn't do anything either.
