Today with the availability of Internet and multiple global TV channels we are getting the News from all over the World within no time. There was a time when I used to crave for News Paper in the morning. But today the importance and the charm of the News Paper looks vanished. Despite that still many number of News papers are available in market and they are doing good business. Do you still read News Paper? are you addicted to it? Picture: Coutesy : Pexel, a free site providing to use pictures to use anywhere on internet.

I used to get the Friday paper to read on Saturday because I do not use the computer and stopped it. I just go online to read the news during the week.

Yes I do. But not as frequent as i used too. In college, i got a scholarship program where we were required to have a semi-military lifestyle and alot of things were forbidden to us specially during our first year. This includes money/atm, Cellphones, TV, family visitations, and some other stuff that i can't remember anymore. So we were basically secluded from the outside world. During our free time my class/platoon would go to the library, some would study, others would take a quick nap, I on the other hand would read the newspaper. It was the only thing that kept me updated with whats happening on the outside world. But now, i'm not really sure i trust the stuff on the newspaper nowadays. Specially here in my country.

Wow! That is some thing very new to me to know about your scholarship program...News papers always faced this charge of being partial in every country....they need to do the business and that is why they often take a particular group in their good books! Thanks for responding dear @PHjason! Have a great time!

Yes - we buy The Times, which is delivered every morning - usually just in time to complete the quick crossword before my wife goes to work. There is so much in a printed paper that you cannot get from any other source, and it is much easier to navigate than flipping through pages on a screen.

Being out of town it isn't easy for us to pick up a paper so we usually get our news from the internet or from the TV at night.

I don't read newspapers. Have never actually read them, except maybe a few times. I prefer to read magazines. And to find out the news I just go online and sometimes watch a local news broadcast.

I agree with you. Old timers were like that only, they used to read nook and corner of each page! possibly this is the habit they have as at that time there were no TVs and Internets available and News paper used to be the only source of information and entertaiment dear @sunshine102 ! Thanks for responding!

We use to buy newspapers everyday now not anymore. We just rely on the news on TV in the evening. Sometimes I still buy broadsheets in the weekend for leisure reading
