Wow, I am grieved about what happened in Parkland Florida, because once again we here in the States had a tragic school shooting. My mind is going in many directions as to how to prevent this from happening again. Here are some of my erratic thoughts: I see both sides of the issue of gun control. I understand why some say guns should be curtailed. But, then I think, if the responsible person can't get a gun for protection, it seems the bad guys always are able to get one. I think the powerful rifles (that the shooter used) , should be banned. There should be more strict back ground checks before people are allowed to buy guns. Those with mental illness, should be committed to mental institutions before they get the chance to do evil things. Bring back the Mental Institutions of old, bring back the straight jackets and electric shock. Sorry, if you think I am being harsh by that last paragraph, but that is how I feel. More students these days should be Home Schooled. If parents feel like they can't teach well, there are many online schools to help. Students should not feel scared to go to school. Thank goodness my kids are out of school. Every school in this Nation should have Armed Guards protecting the schools. In regards to that previous sentence, I learned something very interesting on Twitter late last night from Gov. Mike Huckabee. He put out the most interesting Tweet. I must share it with you: Just waking up in Israel to news of heartbreaking school shooting in FL; Reminded that Israel pretty much eliminated it by placing highly trained people strategically to spot the one common thread--not the weapon, but a person with intent. Isn't that interesting about how Israel deals with it? America should take note. As you can see, I feel like this post is very choppy, but then my mind has been jumping from one idea to another about this gun issue. I just pray it doesn't happen again. I pray , myself, or any person I am close to doesn't die this way.

Again something so senseless happens I agree things have to change drastically and students have to feel that they are protected in their schools.

The answer is LOVE. The stronger one to hold and protect each other. Many people are being violent because of stress and they never felt they have a family inside their homes.

I hate to say it but it'll keep happening and more innocent people will die because nothing is being fixed.
