How was your Valentine's day?

My mum went on a double date with my nieces and the eldest's boyfriend. I stayed home and spent time on here and on my blog and in my Facebook groups. Being the introvert that I am, I really had no desire to go to the game, granted it would have been nice to see my nieces excitement when they were tossed t-shirts and stuff like that, but I just needed some alone time. My Valentine passed away in September. He didn't give me chocolate or flowers, but he gave me some of the best unconditional love that I could have asked for. he was even digging a hole in the backyard to China to get me Chinese food. :)

Sorry to hear you lost such a good friend. That is very sad. I gather that's him in the photo? He's very handsome.

@LisaSteinmetz I didn't realise that was a hole. Whenever we dug a big hole we would say that if we weren't careful we'd hit a Chinaman on the head. But of course even if such a thing were possible we'd actually hit on on the feet - unless he was buried head first in the ground.

@JudyEv LOL! When he started digging the hole my youngest niece was 2 years old. That's actually her green shovel, lol she used to dig with him in the hole.

I'm an introvert too so I fully understand. Sorry to hear you lost your valentine. We found a new Chinese restaurant that delivers so we didn't have to join your valentine in digging to China. Hehe

I used to sit outside with a cup of coffee while he would go out to the bathroom. Before he came in he would go straight to that hole and dig. lol Then he would come in.

It's nice your mum went on a double date, with your niece and her friend. Sorry that your Valentine passed away, this is tragic! Mine took me out to dinner, which we usually do on special occasions. Jay's a wonderful husband. Your photo is so precious:)

I have no special someone on Valentine's just my family. It was my father's birthday so it's double celebration. Sorry to know your Valentine passed away already
