As I updated in my last post about my mom had her first chemotherapy yesterday. I don't know if it's side effect or not. She vomited for at 4-5 times. She almost got fainted and fell on the floor and hurt her lower lip. We took her to the hospital where she will have stiches . Doctor checked her bp which is low at present and asking us that she may get admitted in the hospital. He has gone to discuss it with senior doctor. I am worried what's going to happen. Please tell if anyone knows if it happens after the chemotherapy?

Yes, this is a side effect of the chemotherapy and this means that it is too strong for your Mom.

This is common for many who have chemotherapy. It affects people in different ways but for many it is a very difficult period.

@sjvg1976 The chemicals in Chemo travel through the entire body and can affect all the organs. That's why there is severe vomiting, loss of hair and other side affects.

It is side effect. The chemotherapy is strong..vomitings are part and parcel as is weakness. In six months she will be fine..her nails will also turn bluish. Good you took her to the doctor though. Dosage may have been an issue.

Yes these things do happen with chemo. I have a sister-in-law who would vomit excessively after treatment. The side effects of chemo are horrible

My brother in law went through Chemo and he got very sick after treatments. He would just come to the house and lay down, he had no energy, would throw up, dizzy, it was awful. I hated watching him be so bad and I feel for your mom. I'm sorry she has to go through this

That is awful. I would assume being dizzy after chemo is likely. I hope it does not keep happening to her

Soon after the treatment I think she should not be left alone. I do not know if this is due to side effects of the therapy that she went though

Chemotherapy can take a lot out of a person. I will put in a prayer for your mom that all will be alright.
