McDonald's Pizza???

New York, New York

I wish this was around everywhere! Apparently, in the 1980's McDonald's attempted to come out with something called McPizza. The reason they eliminated the pizza was that it took more than 10 minutes to make, and McDonalds wanted to keep its reputation for fast service. But, interesting news - McDonald's pizza is actually available this year - at one McDonald's located in Orlando! Would you want to try their pizza?

I remember and enjoyed their pizza. However, it is not the healthiest of food.

It's cool that you tried and remember it, and I had a feeling that it wouldn't be the healthiest pizza. Since it's from a fast food restaurant.

@m_audrey6788 Interesting... I've yet to try different types of pizzas... I think I prefer ones with more sauce than cheese, and deeper, softer ones... Although I have pizza every week with my family, and it's always just plain and regular. Haha.

I totally don't remember that at all - I wonder if it came to CA at that time? I would try it just to try it . . . but there are so many other pizza places around - I don't know how competitive they could be with it. How does/did it taste?

@Katzab7 Ah, I am on the west coast - so I guess it never made it here. I wonder if a McPizza tastes like a Big Mac .

I would hope it comes with varieties of choices for toppings, too, which is what most pizza places would offer. I am a millennial, so I don't know what it tasted like, but McPizza's were only available on the East Coast, apparently.

I would definitely try it. Their food these days is pretty bad..maybe pizza would be an improvement. They do a good job with their drinks though.

I would love to try their pizza just as long as they have one that doesn't have pork in it.

Although McDonald's is known for pizza. I would try it if it were here in NYC. I think it would be interesting how it actually tastes. But I can tell you, being from Brooklyn, it will never compete with local Pizza places here. But who knows if it would be good or not.

I don't know. McDonalds = pizza? Probably not. But I do love their McRib whenever they have it.

Probably not. Any restaurant chain noted for serving fast food should stick with what they do best.

Will they rip off McNuggets and make the sizes either 6, 9 or 20 slices?
