Days are slowly getting longer

My hubby and I were talking about it the other night. We noticed that there was still a little bit of sun at 5:30 in the evening. As opposed to the sun being gone by 4:30. So, that's definitely a really nice change. I'm really happy to see the days get longer, even if it's a slow process. I'll still take it. It is definitely reassuring.

My daughter and I were just talking about that the other day as we drove at dusk on a long trip we were taking. I told her I thought it would get dark at 5:30pm, and she told me it was more like 6:00. Well, it ended up being closer to 6:30! I told her that it meant summer was right around the corner!

I have noticed that the sun goes down in the Lake Charles area around 6pm instead of 5pm when the Standard Time came in around October.
