A Little Piano Practice Before My Walk

I have been here on Mylot for a little while this morning and it's time for me to go and have a little piano practice. Then, a short walk downstairs with the "Village People" songs as I like the beat. Especially the "In The Navy", it reminds me of my jogging days at the gym on my lunch hour. Unfortunately, there is no more jogging for me for health reasons, I sure do miss it though. Just saw the sun coming out at this instant, I hope that it will stay a while! Enjoy your Sunday.
In the Navy. The original 1979 music video featuring iconic cop and lead singer Victor Willis.

We went out very early this morning to go to my mom's apartment in Italy. I have worked there 6 hours, emptying cabinets and packing stuff. I am glad to be back home now.

It sure is painful mentally and physically to emptying the house of a loved one.

@LadyDuck So true, our parents passed and we had to sell the house after a few years: very painful.

I have never had the stamina for jogging, although I've tried it. I do love to go for walks. I went for one a little while ago at Springbank Park, and took a fall on some ice. My left leg went 1 way and my right leg went the other way.

@marlina I'm really sore. My left knee is a bit swollen and bruised and I believe that I may have sprained my left ankle. I put my back out in the whole ordeal too, I'm in my recliner with the heating pad on it now and an ice pack on my ankle. Thankfully tomorrow is a holiday so I can rest more, cuz I really need it.

@Juliaacv I feel bad for you! I sprained my ankle years ago (while doing a good deed) by slipping on a icy sidewalk and it took 6 months before I could walk without pain. I hope that you heal faster!

@Juliaacv, Oh no! This sounds painful. Are you okay now? I hope so! It took me a while to get used to jogging then.

They also have "Macho man" which I used to jog with it at the gym on my lunch hour. My lunch hour was 2 hours long, a deal that I insisted when I renegotiated my salary,.

@marlina I don't know that song. That's a good lunch hour. I'm sure it was good to be in the gym during your lunch.

It seems much easier to exercise when there is jazzy music to help you keep going.

@JudyEv I can't help it to get going with the music. Then, eventually I have to stop as I get too tired.

I should get my keyboard out from somewhere in the garage - I am thinking I could still play piano but it would take practice. Ah, Village People can always get our circulation going

@andriaperry, I love my piano which was a gift from my husband. I had another one before in Quebec but sold it when I moved to Toronto. Love walking indoor with moderately fast music.
