The Tenants And Work

When I interact with the tenants I treat each one differently because they all are different people. A couple days ago one of the little elderly ladies said " everyone hates me" because she had a bad day at church with people being mean to her. I finally told her that the problem is she repeats stuff, the same thing every time I see her and it gets on my nerves. Then I told her that she is my favorite and that her sister is not. Now she stays home and just yells hello to me when I am outside of the rental I am working on. The man with he little boys. One told me his little brother was lying about being good in school, so while I tied his shoes I told him that its better to just tell the true because he will get in trouble worst, for being bad at school and lying. He said he would not lie anymore. The other little one HAS stopped peeing on the bed because his mom told him I would make him move, I told him I am so proud of him. and tied his shoes. Up and down, up and down and more up and down. Know what I did at the rental for work? I painted the upper trim, its easy work except going up and down the ladder, one bedroom I went up and down that ladder 7 times! The man came and worked in the bathroom floor and its fixed. I have to let it dry before I let the vinyl flooring, I picked it out today. So the day off and fishing did not happen, but it will soon enough. How was your day?

I was in the kitchen a lot. I also browsed a lumber yard for my "wish list". New toilets, hot water heaters, etc. Helped hubby find what he needed to see on youtube. Yes, I agree, each person, tenant, student, co worker, has different things he needs to see and hear to do well.

I know what you mean, I need $50 on lumber to make my fence to stop people from just driving up to my door.

We went to Erie, wore me right out. I rather do the upper part then the bending and such. It always causes me severe back pain doing it to much. Hubby made me a chair thing for gardening because of it. This year we are redoing it some so that I can sit on the edge to weed. Hope that you are doing well.

You are very nice with those kids, I am sure they love you. It's a lot of work keeping those apartments clean and neat.

Houses, not apartments. I would go crazy with apartments, tenants tend to fight and argue more with those.

Another busy day, even tying shoes, that's pretty remarkable. At least he's not peeing on the bed, because he might get evicted! LOL I repeat things constantly. I had a mini-stroke about five months ago and that's how it affected me. Maybe this elderly lady has a similar issue, causing her to repeat things over and over again. Uplifting words have given her a little encouragement, that's wonderful:)

@andriaperry How are the sisters doing, taking care of their own homes? I worked with mentally impaired students and they were taught to clean, cook simple foods, and other common household duties. They even kept a small garden, behind the school. I loved working with those kids!

My day was quiet and mostly spent online. I was wishing my kids would want to play a board game or something with me but they were both doing things on their own

Hope the day off will come soon for you. It's Monday here and I stayed longer in bed this morning. That's always a pretty common thing for my Monday. Lunch time, went to my bookkeeper then mailed some documents, went to my lawyer, then the bank, and then the office. I came back home early though.

It makes the harsh economic climate bearable when we do nice things for others. I have had similar experiences. I have learned that when you give of yourself to others, you get a feeling of happiness from it. I like how you are compassionate with the elderly woman.

When we were converting the bus to a motor-home we must have up and down the stairs in and out of it hundreds of times a day. I always regretted that I hadn't counted the times once or twice.

People were mean to her in church? I would think that church would be the one place you wouldn't have to worry about that. Weird.
