The dinner party we hosted yesterday for our friend's daughter was a huge success, thank goodness! Good food, many laughs, lots of compliments, and tons of hugs and kisses are sure signs of fun had by all. And to top it all off, it was her birthday!!! We surprised her with a birthday cake.
This morning her friend, on the right of the photo, flew home. She will be replaced by two other friends. We have plans to meet at the pool later this morning for glorious sunshine and lots of laughs.
I just returned from a 7 mile walk and am relaxing with a cup of coffee. There will be no birthday cake or other desserts for us. I sent them all away with our guests last night.
So what are you up to this beautiful Monday? It's President's Day here in the USA honoring George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. I'm proud to call myself an American.

Nice to know that after having a nice party with fun and frolic now you are having a relaxing time with cup of coffee! No idea how you wish each other on President day! Can I say Happy President day? Glad you ladies had a wonderful time together! We have the day off - but as we went to a party last night, my daughter's got a bit of the sickies today. We're about to head out for a bit because we have to . . . but other than that we're going to stay home - no adventures today!

At the moment is Tuesday morning here and I'm still in bed mylotting. I just finished doing my work which I usually do first thing in the morning when I wake up. After working in my computer, I would then go to mylot.
Monday, I stayed in bed all morning but was out the whole afternoon, went to my bookkeeper, lawyer, bank, my office, and then home early around 4pm. Then I got a call from my secretary that a real estate company sent me a birthday cake. And I thought my birthday was over. We had the cake for dessert after dinner. It wasn't sweet, just the way I like it.

The faces of contented and happy women!
I love attending gathering of friends especially my batchmates in high school. I feel young whenever we gather because we really have lots of stories which elicits lots of laughter. And not to mention good food.

I'm glad you had a good time with your friends and surprised one with a birthday cake. That was awesome of you. It doesn't take you long to replace those leaving with new friends. One day, I'll come knocking on your door.
