It's a Coffee Kind of Day

Happy Monday Everyone! I went to bed at a decent hour last night and I thought I slept pretty well. I'm already finished my second cup of coffee and I'm still waiting for the caffeine to kick in. Do I need a third cup? I'm seriously lagging this morning. My daughter and her sister went to Target and invited me along. I politely declined as they like to look at everything when they shop. My knees won't let me shop for long periods of time anymore. I can do short trips but no more days of wandering aimlessly through a store. Who knows if they'll even just go to Target. When they get together it can be a marathon. I have the house to myself for awhile and it's a perfect day for relaxing. The sky is gray and our weekend sunshine is gone. The good part is the sun melted a good portion of the snow that had fallen so our street and sidewalks are perfectly clear. Tonight we're having chicken for dinner and I have to decide how to make it. I'm getting so tired of chicken. That about sums things up here (for now anyway). How's your Monday going?

Its a coffee kind of day here too, I enjoyed a second cup also. I'm thinking that I'll make some lasagna and serve it with some bruschetta for supper tonight. Its a rainy day and that might be a nice dish, we can always enjoy leftovers from it thru the week. I haven't made lasagna in such a long time.

I like looking around Target once in awhile but I don't like shopping very much. My one coffee didn't help much either.

I thought everyday was a coffee kind of day ! So funny because someone else told me yesterday that they were tired of too much chicken lately too. We are off school today - but the kids are a bit sickie. We are staying home!

@Marilynda1225 Thank you! My daughter was actually able to get to school today - she was better after resting all day yesterday. I bought some other meats today - yah, I think we're getting sick of chicken now too.

Wishing you a lovely day today. I spent the better part of the day fixing the laptop a friend loaned to me. Now it's in good order I can log onto mylot and check my emails. Over here it's evening already.

Maybe you need the book 365 ways to cook chicken! Chicken is not really one of my favorite meals typically either..but it is pretty good for you.

It is nice sometimes to have the house to yourself so you can enjoy your coffee and as often as you want it. Chicken now that is another thing. That is practically all we eat these days its surprising I don't cluck and start sprouting feathers. Have a nice peaceful day!

I work at the tame job today, caregiver and I will drive the 2 hour round trip. First I will walk the dogs, its been raining for a whole week and they need some Angie time.

I've had two cups of coffee as well, now some hot tea. Got some stew beef and gravy in the slow cooker. Will have some peas and mash potatoes to go along with that. Hope you enjoy your day and dinner later on.
