Nasty Weather

It's a good thing my friend's procedure was this morning. Schools in the entire area around Green Bay and in much of the pink area noted in the picture had early dismissal. 
Mostly by 2 hours. I got home prior to the rain starting.
I won't be going to the pool tomorrow. We're expecting up to a quarter inch of ice by then. The area in pink is what is predicted for tomorrow morning in the way of ice. 
The class at church tonight has been canceled. Pastor called to let me know we'll start next week. So, that's good. 
It's going to be treacherous before too long.
In the meantime, since I got home, I watched a movie off my DVR list that's been there since the 4th of July. It's now deleted.
Now, I'm here to interact and tame the notifications I'm seeing are close to a hundred. 
I've also made a pot roast in the crock pot and that will most likely be gone before the night is out. 
I went shopping this morning for produce to help me make it to payday. I had just enough on my foodshare card, so I didn't need to use my debit card. This is the longest short month I can remember. Wednesday can't get here fast enough for me.
I mentioned yesterday that a friend took me to lunch after church. The recipe was simple enough, I bought the ingredients and made it for breakfast this morning. It was mushrooms, 2 small cubed potatoes, 1 onion, spinach/baby kale blend, and two eggs. It was very good. I'll definitely be making it again.

I have been working on genealogy most of the day, I did go out and clean one of the front gutters, I got lots of junk in my hair lol

@just4him Not today it was mostly boring work filling in dates etc but over the last few days I found her Native American ancestry which surprised her and descent from English and French kings.

I hope the ice wasn't and isn't too bad.
Yesterday was a sunny day and today it is raining some. There will be some big puddles as the snow melts.

@just4him If they cancelled the buses then it must be pretty bad. I hope it doesn't last long.

I don't know what all was canceled here today, but I suspect the bus system was as I haven't seen any buses. I think schools were also canceled as I haven't seen kids or school buses either. I didn't go anywhere and am not planning on it.

@1hopefulman It didn't, but I saw we have another ice storm coming this weekend. Roads were good this morning and everything is back to normal.

Its been a rainy day here today, not very pleasant.
We are expecting more on Tuesday and again on Wednesday.
We will lose most of our snow base this week I would imagine.
I fell yesterday and hurt my ankle and knee, so I spent the day with my leg up and resting.
And did lots of myLotting and reading and a little tv watching.
I got up and made some lasagna to put into the oven a little while ago, and my leg is throbbing since standing on it. No more of that for me today!

We are getting rain tonight, but it's not suppose to get very cold. I'm wondering, how it will affect our roads tomorrow.

You are wise to stay home in that weather. Here, you can imagine how glorious the weather is. I managed a good walk this morning and hung at the pool with the young girls. I took them to a late lunch at our golf club, and read the rest of the day until dinner. Also lots of texting with the kids, my friends, and Dr. Jay! Our older son's inlaws were in Miami for two days and called. Now they are in a villa in Belize. Belize is beautiful. We've only been there twice and considered buying a retirement home there. However, no one has our caliber of doctors in the USA, so decided against it.

That's probably a good decision not to buy a retirement home there. Yes, your weather sounds wonderful, and your day by the pool with friends.

Yes, I guess I do like myself. I have no complaints, and we always agree, well at least 99% of the time. There are those moments when I do argue with myself. I have to admit, I don't always win those arguments. My practical self wins occasionally.

It rained here yesterday and a little bit this morning. Yesterday I read most of the day. But last night I coughed and this morning I was coughing. I have a little bit of a sore throat too. I hope to get better before this weekend. I'm turning 38 on Saturday.

I'd rather have snow than what we're getting, though for the moment according to the weather site, it is snowing, but with all the rain we got first, that only equates to ice.
