I needed to use up $$ that I had on my Amazon account because my Prime membership was expiring and I had like $72 in gift card credits from Christmas. (Now I'm just going to share an account with my husband so we don't wind up paying for 2 Prime accounts) Anyway, I ordered myself a nice big 14 inch cast iron skillet and 2 Instant Pot cookbooks that I kept seeing with good reviews: Dinner In An Instant by NY Times food writer Melissa Clark and The Essential Instant Pot Cookbook which was just recommended on the Smitten Kitchen blog. I am hoping to get some good recipes out of these books because I seem to keep making the same things over and over in my Instant Pot.

@nela13 It's the brand name for one, at least.

The 1st or 2nd one? I have the 1st one and think it is okay. I don’t make much from it. Based on that, I’ve skipped the 2nd one. I’m trying to think what I like from the 1st book off the top of my head. The meatloaves, The sesame turkey meatballs with smashed chick pea salad (I omit the olives bc I hate them), the mushroom bourguignon, and the wild mushroom tart. The grilled cheese was okay and the risotto stuffed poblanos were a lot of work for a big disappointment.

@NJChicaa I... actually don't know. It's Smitten Kitchen Everyday. Let me check the date... It came out in 2017, so I'm guessing the second. I haven't made anything out of it yet.

@spiderdust oh yeah. I haven't seen that one. I like her blog well enough but I probably only make 1 out of every 10 savory things that she posts, if that. Still, it doesn't matter because it is free. I'm about to get burned on another cookbook though.

That's awesome you got the cookbooks to go with the instant pot. I know before you didn't want to use the same account but I see you have changed your mind
