Booth Had Other Plans

Abraham Lincoln has always been one of my favorite presidents. He was a good man and did a lot for our country. I was watching a de the other night about his assassination and new information they had. It said that his assassinator, Booth, actually had another plan for Lincoln. He was going to kidnap him and use him as a pawn to get southern patriots out of prison. It was his dream to get them out and build up the southern front again in hopes of winning the war. I didn't know this.

That is actually really interesting, I didn't know that either. I know more about Hayes, albeit not a lot more as I've forgotten most of it. I like Lincoln too. I've found that most presidents even the ones we don't particularly like have done some good.

That is interesting. I visited the massive Lincoln Memorial in Washington. I loved it. Amazing!

I didn't know that either but I did know that others were supposed to be assassinated as well that night but those attempts failed.
