Putting it into her hands

So many that have read my discussions know that I homeschool on pacyber. Today I decided to put it into Tessas hands more. I finally figured out I can not sit for 8 or more hours in stress trying to get her to do things and get her thru them. She needs to grow up some and want it for herself. Today has been rough to say the least. The first part was not her doing, took 2 hours to get her stupid printer to work. Then she had 3 assignments due in Language Arts and I cant even figure out how to turn one of them in. All 3 have reading to them. 3 pages and she still isn't done. Keeps asking me to read it to her. NOPE! Time to concentrate and just do it. Yes I know she hates reading especially when it isn't something she likes. Welcome to life. Calling her advisor tomorrow to see how the other part of school called Calvary works totally. Right now we do Blended class which is where we are basically on our own. We have done that for about 3 years and each year I think she will grow up some and it will get easier and it hasn't. IF anything it is harder. Not just because the work is harder as we are for a lot of the stuff just seemingly redoing what she did last year in some of the classes but because she just doesn't want to. She took a test with her teacher and the teacher was so happy on how much her reading has improved so it isn't that. Hoping I'm doing the right thing here but my and my health really cant do this anymore. If you have and advice feel free. At this point I just see a little girl that thinks mom should do it, a little girl that just doesn't want to try.

Been a little progress since I had a heart to heart with her on how she has to want it. No matter how much I want it for her it doesnt work that way. I also was truthful when I told her it is tiring me out.

@Plethos How I wish we had the money to do that, or even to hire someone one day a week.

She should start learning and doing it herself, I mean what's the point of going to school if some one else is going to do it.

Have you thought about putting her in public school? Sounds like she does mind a teacher and rebels with you. Plus you would have the days to rest.

We only have the one public here and I wont put her back in it. when I took her out she couldnt read at all, do simple math, nothing. As much as this is "killing" me at times she is learning .. just behind. Other then the behind she is an A, B student now. Her reading teacher is thrilled with her improvement with her reading. Just have to figure out how to get her motivated to work and stay on task more. Have to say if I did have the day to me Id be almost tempted .. LOL! But I would only get 3 hours.. lol She minds the teacher online as she knows I can hear what is going on. lol
