She has her hands full

My daughter-in-law had a couple of trips to the ER with her 14 year old at the end of last week. First diagnosis was an asthma attack, but the problem persisted. After seeing three or four care providers she convinced them to swab for the flu. It was type B flu causing the problems. Yesterday my son came home from work with the flu. He has never had the flu before in his life. She says even her big dog acts like he has the flu. She has another daughter that she expects will be sick soon. Then of course there is the child she baby sits. She has her hands full this week. But I am not going there.

That's terrible it took her coaxing that many doctors to get her tested for the flu. I hope they all feel better soon. I know it's really been awful for some mylot members here.

@GardenGerty that could be the reason. I hardly go out.

@allknowing That would be the reason. You do not go anywhere to get exposed.

Oh, wow. She really does have her hands full. I have sort of quarantined myself in my house, thank God I am retired from teaching. I have an autoimmune disorder for which the flu would mean disaster. I am glad you will not go there. Such a danger this flu has been.

I am exposed to everything at the school, but I have not had the flu and I have not had this thing going round with explosive diarrhea.

@GardenGerty I eventually developed one heck of an immune system. Never caught the Swine flu due to being exposed to so many germs over so many years.

@Corbin5 I had the original swine flu in the seventies. Probably was immune when it came around again.

When someone in the family gets the flu is almost impossible not to get the flu. I wish to your family to get well soon.

As long as they do not get other infections on top of it, yes, they should be okay. I know that they are miserable.

The care providers should have swabbed for the flu at the start. It seems that the flu rages through where your daughter-in-law lives.
