Many people dislike ABBA. A whole lot more love ABBA. A lot more. The Swedish group was an international colossus in the 70s who outsold practically every other group. It is easy to dismiss ABBA as bubblegum pop disco sound but they are better in retrospect. Take a look at ABBA’s concert movie and they were pretty good. Agnetha Faltskog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad could sing and were good looking. From the album “Arrival,” “Money Money Money” was written by the male half Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus and is simply about a woman seeking a sugar daddy. The song was #1 or 2 in most European countries but just #56 in the US. Meryl Streep sings “Money Money Money” in the movie “Mamma Mia!”
