I treated myself with a new knife after I got my first Hubpages payout last month

An addition to my knife collection, a new Ontario Rat 1. Nope, I won't use it to rob someone. It is a tool to help me with my job, or when I go hiking. I would use it if the need arises but I will run away most of the time. Next prospect is a ganzo folder :)

How much did you get the knife for? I need to get one myself. Not for hiking or for a job... but for someone...

Are you allowed to go around having with you this kind of knives? You can only if you go out hunting here.

We are, as long as you don't intend to use it as a weapon. Knives are tools, and self defense is not an excuse here in the Philippines. Knives must be kept concealed here and no fixed blades unless you are a farmer. Make sure you explain your case properly if the police caught you carrying one, but they usually let is go if our reason is valid. In my case I need a pocket knife because I'm an engineer and I need cutting tools for opening boxes, cutting wires and when working with machines.

@Mamerto32 It's more or less the same here. If you do not intend to use your knife as a weapon and you have a valid reason to bring it with you, there is no problem.
