I'm such a goof. I was talking about next year and it suddenly hit me that by mid March next year I will officially be the mother to an adult. My son, my first born, my "baby" boy will be 18 next year and my daughter, my "baby" girl and my youngest will be 16. As the realization washed over me, I burst into tears. They have birthdays coming up next month. I'm going to take Olivia to the pawn shop this weekend and let her pick out either a digital camera or a camcorder. That's what she wants as a gift. It will be used, but it will be a start. My son, we kind of did what he wanted for his birthday already. We went to Golden Corral, a buffet this last weekend. I actually had Saturday and Sunday off (because I requested it off) and we had a great time.

They grow up too fast. Enjoy them while they are home. Empty Nest Syndrome is the worse. Happy birthday to both of your children.

Thank you. Their birthdays are 6 days apart (minus 2 yrs). It's such a pleasure (and a bittersweet pain) to watch them grow.

Yeah, I'm around. I've been spending time with the kids since it is just the 3 of us.

Reminds me of my eldest nephew and niece they're on their college now. I mean ten years just passed by and they have grown. That's life unfortunately.

Yes. It is. I'll be 40 before I know it. I'll blink and I'll be a grandma. I'll sneeze and I'll be a great grandma. Lol times flies so fast

I know how you feel. It seems like my son was just born, but he is 24.
