Are You A Speed Reader?

Top readers could read at a speed of 1,000 words per minute (wpm) with an 85% reading comprehension; while the average readers can read 200 words per minute with a 60% reading comprehension says readingsoft.com. Only 1% of readers belongs to top readers while the average readers belong to the majority. I am neither a slow nor a fast reader. I can adjust my reading speed depending upon the kind of reading materials that I'm reading. How fast can you read? Are you an average or fast reader? Picture credit: instantseries.com

@rakski Even in English (not my native language) I read very fast. But I cannot be quick in any handwork. I cannot even write quickly in the keyboard. We all have pros and cons.

I prefer to read what I like only :) So if it is something I like ~ I am speedy. If not, I can be slow - it depends on the content.

I am a fast reader but not a speed reader. As you know, print size and difficulty of material plays a factor.

I've never checked how many words I can read per minute (maybe I will do it once), but I know that I am a fast reader. When I have to memorize a text or a book, I am a slow reader, but I don't mind it because it is very affective. I can read a book at one night and I can memorize 100 pages per day.

I state that, I have no hobby of reading. I read only the newspaper, which my father buys every day. I read it very quickly. It depends on the topic.
