Our loss is heaven's gain

Just saw the news of the death of Billy Graham. What a faithful servant of Christ he was. Just think how many souls are in heaven celebrating his arrival! Years ago we went to the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, NC and what impressed me the most was that the library wasn't about him, it was about Jesus. So many libraries are just monuments to the person they're named for, but Billy Graham's whole life and ministry was always about Jesus Christ and the gift of salvation. His voice will be missed, but his message lives on.

Even though I very much respect his son, Franklin, I don't think there will ever be another Billy Graham.

That's wonderful you were able to see the library. Yes, his voice is gone, but the message lives on.

I just remembered that it wasn't about him. There was a short video at the end of the tour and Billy Graham invited the visitors to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior.

@1creekgirl That's what he was about - inviting people to accept Jesus as their Savior.

Yes, his son Franklin has the ministry Samaritan's Purse which not only feeds the poor around the world, but also preaches the Gospel, among other things like rebuilding homes after disasters. There's also a grandson, Will Graham, who is preaching now, haven't heard him yet.

A true modern day disciple of Christ. Now he can move on to even better things....
