Do You Agree That We Need To Have 'Best Response' Now Also In myLot?

I am an old member on this site! We used have a feature where by the person posting the discussion could select the best response he/she got for the discussion! Though there were no financial gains from this site to have such 'Best Reponses' in a discussion. But I have a thought that because of this feature to satisfy one's self esteem people would respond the best possible responses from their side! There were no few words or once sentenced posts then as a response! I strongly feel that the Admin, can think of reintroduce this feature, so that they will get rid of those short responses and would get some quality posts as they want from us! What is your take on this point! Your sincere opinions will be highly appreciated! Thanks! have a great time as this is myLot you are on!

So would the best response be counted for pay and all the other ones not rewarded? I am not sure how that works. What is wrong with a one-sentence reply if the meaning and sentiment is covered.? What irks me is statements like 'don't know' or 'I have not seen it.'

No no dear you are thinking in a wrong way! This has got nothing to with the payment. Every discussion and response will be paid as per the algorithm of this site. Best response won't be paid anything extra! By adding this feature this will act as a moral booster and the new bees and youth on this site may get motivated. There is nothing wrong in replying in one sentence if you can express your views by doing so! There is no hard and fast rule that you should type more to get more here! I agree! By implimenting this feature the irking statememts which you have mentioned will be stopped automatically! Thanks dear @akalinus! God bless!

@AKRao24 Now, I see it differently. Did you message the admins about it? They are the ones who decide on anything new or different.

I also would like to have it introduced so that people may get motivated to write quality content.

@JolietJake but then there are few people who will be motivated by it which may be good for the site.

I remember whenever I get a notification in my inbox congratulating me for getting a Best Response, it was an amazing feeling for of course, just like we won some awards. However, now I am used without it so can manage without it too.

I too used to feel the same to have it when I used to get one BR in the past! I think it pampers one's ego and imparts feel good factor. But then now things are continuing without any problem I too think it is OK so long every one is happy! Thanks dear @Sreekala !

I worked on a site called Webanswers which used to do the best answer feature but the problem was some people used to choose the answers of their friends rather than the answer that was actually best, This caused tension on the site at times,

Yes, that I can understand, the biased attitude can spoil the spirit of participation and interaction! Thanks @sprite1950 ! Have a great time!

1. no, i don't want it back. i don't want to feel like i'm in a contest when i'm here, that this is all about popularity, that this is all about "to satisfy one's self esteem." 2. sometimes one sentence response or comment can say it all. sometimes explanations and examples help. it depends on the topic.

You have a point there dear friend @hereandthere ! I agree with you that it may create feeling of competitiveness on this site which may be taken in a positive perspective so that we can have more active participation of members here! Instead of looking with a angel that it is more than satisfying one'e self esteem, I feel this can be taken as an incentive! These are just my personal thoughts and i am not imposing them on anybody! Thanks a lot for your sincere response! have a great time ! God bless!

@AKRao24 i'd rather not be forced or pressured to do or say anything here. i'd rather not connect anything i do here to how i see myself. i'd rather not always think about having to perform here. i'd rather not put metrics on myself when it comes to mylot.

Not really ! This is just an attempt to keep motivated the members good content as response so that their response will be recognized by the person initiated by the discussion! There is no monetary benefit here! but then quality of responses are likely improve! Thanks dear @Plethos!
