They have arrived sooner than expected and have been already harvested. Birds and squirrels have been dropping them half eaten and that is when we noticed that one of our mango trees have mangoes Hidden among green leaves one cannot spot them from below. We got a big haul as I might call it. We sold some and have kept some for ripening in these baskets that you see in the image. I have kept the basket open just for you to see

You have basketS . . . just how many mangoes did you get in this big haul? Mangoes can be expensive here, so how wonderful for you to have your own mango trees. Squirrels mostly get to our nice oranges - they half eat them too and drop them in our driveway or front yard - so we know how that feels.

@allknowing Wow to even have that many to sell! It's rare to see homes with mango trees here. My friend who knows about mango trees from her country was keen enough to spot one near our kids' school. The tree is in the backyard and out of our reach - but it doesn't seem to yield so many mangoes like yours does.

@much2say I thought I had many but after what I heard from my niece about her trees mine are nothing compared to what she got from hers She has four trees and she got heaps. She earned quite a bit too.

I sold around 70 - did not get a good price though. We have about another equal quantity which will be ready few at a time. We need to check everyday.

I am glad that you noticed that there were mangoes hidden among the trees, before the squirrels and birds made their big party.

In a way they are news reporters. Without them we would not know if we have mangoes there and that they are ready for harvesting

@allknowing Birds are news reporters for the cherries here. When you see cherry stones on the ground, better to check among the leaves.

It can be hard to see the fruit sometimes. I was surprised to find two butternuts this morning hidden among the foliage.
