How many of you have nicknames for your furry ones?

I call my Sophie many names and she does answer to them. One of them is Sosi. Do you ever give your furry one nicknames and can you share some of them with us? Do you feel it will confuse them if you call them other names than the one you originally gave them to begin with?

@Hannihar I'm not normally a compete idiot...although I can be My humour is different to that of others, especially non UK people, and can cause offence...no offence intended here...a few days off, new meds and a few drinks make me a bit of a fool...think I'll stop posting and go back to desperate houswives...so I don't wake up and have to delete a load of stupid comments!!!

@Mike197602 Mike, I was not offended by you. I thought you were funny. I like Desperate Housewives.

My cat's real name is Jona, but I call her Purrball, Fuzzball, Squirt, and other pet names. She knows when I am talking to her because of the way I use my voice. Also, she's the only other one in the house. She knows her real name. Yesterday I was listening to a Bible reading and it happened to be the first chapter of Jona. She perked up her ears, walked over to my iPad and nosed it. "Why does this little flat square thing keep calling my name?"

I think they know by the tone of voice when we are talking to them. Hercules was always Herc.
