What did you notice about the other person that impressed you when going on that first date? If married, what impressed you about your significant other? Was it a physical feature or maybe something social ? Photo- You Tube/google images

I was impressed by Jay, he was such a gentleman. Opening car doors, restaurant door, helping me get into the car. This made me feel special! Now, we've been married 27 years and he still does the same thing

I was attracted by his intelligence and good manners. This is a lot more important than physical features. This is something you notice little by little.

When we get to know them well, those characteristics are so admirable!

My bf and I talked for 1.5 months, before we met in person. So we liked one another for our conversation, not body.

@Courtlynn I met Jay through my sister. She said he was lonely and needed to make friends.

I haven't been on a date for over 5 years.... but the things I seem to notice (no particular order) - nice smile, nice attitude, easy going, sense of humor, doesn't smell bad or smells nice, manners - and cleanliness. Dressed well for the event. (Don't need to be a model or wearing labels, but clothes should be clean, fit well, suited to the type of setting you see him in) ....

@dgobucks226 Oh oh! Add nice to the waiter or waitress ... lol. I like to say I've lowered my standards. Now I just want someone who is single, non-psychotic, not an axe murderer, interested in women.... lol

Quite a specific and terrific list! Don't settle Of course, you might be just a tad picky (just kidding-you did say you like a sense of humor )
