Why do smartphones slow down few months after buying them?

aside from full memory or software issues, are there any other reason why new smartphones slow down just few months after buying them? I am just wondering.

It's losing space and memory so you need to move some apps, pictures and videos to an SD card and start clearing cached data, history, cookies etc...

Upgrade system. Older version can slow mobile phone.

Insufficient memory or disk space.. Too many apps installed. Infected by virus or malware. sabotage by cellphone manufacturer Not well designed or programmed software
