I chose Eurythmics as the first entry into the MyLot Music Hall of Fame because they show up often in our music countdowns, and have been used by more than one of us. In fact, @JohnRoberts even did an entire series dedicated to them. Eurythmics were a synth pop duo comprised of multi-instrumentalist Dave Stewart and vocalist Annie Lennox. Eventually, they began to incorporate live instruments into their sound. The Eurythmics resume is quite impressive: they are Grammy winners, Brit Award winners, MTV Music Award winners, and are in the UK Music Hall of Fame. They have also been nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They have sold over 75 million records worldwide. Not counting a nine year hiatus, Dave and Annie lasted 16 years, during which they released eight studio albums, a soundtrack album, a live album, two compilations, and 33 singles, most of which charted in multiple countries. What can I say? I would listen to Annie Lennox if she were singing the Denny's menu. It won't surprise me if Eurythmics continues to appear in these music series'.
