It is finally almost here, our cruise. We leave on Sunday for 7 days. We will be visiting Roatan, Guatemala, Cozumel and Costa Maya. We are traveling on a small cruise ship, the Holland American Rotterdam. We will be picked up on Sunday morning at 9:45 and driven to the cruise port in Tampa. We hired a driver since I was hesitant to drive into a city I have never been to before. I packed almost everything today, I just have to get our backpack together. I need to cover the luggage tags with packing tape and attach it to our suitcase, we are only taking one. Then I need to get all our documents together, grab the Bonine so we don't get seasick, pack the suntan lotion and then I am really to hit the road. This is the first time Al and I have ever cruised alone, we always cruise with friends. I am sure we will be fine and I plan to get some serious relaxation in. We did get early dining and we will have four table mates. Hopefully, we will enjoy their company, if not we will dine on our own. What I love about Holland America is that they serve tea every afternoon. It isn't always English tea either, it can be from other countries like Indonesia. I will probably have a little internet access with our onboard credit on the ship but I am not sure after tomorrow if I will be around until we get back on March 4. I will try to be on here tomorrow if I have the time. Do you have anything exciting coming up?

Believe it or not, the Port of Tampa is actually pretty easy to get to! I've taken several cruises out of Tampa, and I find it to be one of the more simpler ports to deal with. I always love leaving on the ships that set sail near sunset, as it is so beautiful when you are exiting Tampa Bay. And my favorite part is when the big ships go underneath the Sunshine Skyway Bridge! Your ship will probably make it with no problem, but the big Carnival cruise ships barely have a few feet of clearance going under the bridge! They can only exit the Bay at low tide! haha Anyway, I hope you have an amazing time!

I will also go for a cruise, I take a walk and cruise around the neighborhood. I won't need to pack and I won't need any suntan lotion. Have fun and take some pictures and later share them with us. We want to see what the sun looks like.

Have a beautiful time, I am sure it's going to be a great vacation. Bonine has always been my husband life saver. He does not use for motion sickness, but when he has vertigo.

It works great for us, no matter how rough the seas get we never suffer at all. It is good to know it helps with vertigo.

@BelleStarr It is the only thing that helps with vertigo. I am lucky that our pharmacist can order them from the United States, Bonine does not exist in Europe.

I love cruising but my husband says it bores him. I have gone with my sister once to Alaska, and traveled with his sisters a few times in the Caribbean. Once he went with us and was a good sport but we probably will never get him on one again. Have a blast!

Have a great time on your cruise. What a great shame you and Lori aren't on the same boat. We're having a week in Denmark but it's 'our' Denmark, a town in the south and not the country.

That would have been fun, wouldn't it. But in reality, they are very different cruise lines, Ours is a much more mature crowd and a smaller ship.
