How many languages can you speak

There is a guy I know who speaks a total of 10 languages.Including Spanish, Mandarin, Portuguese, Japanese and French among others. People struggle to speak another language besides their native language. I speak 3 languages in total and even most of the Kenyans do so. How many languages can you speak comfortably?

At least you can a understand a bit of other languages. My 4 year old speaks 3 languages too

the most multilingual mylotter i know would be @ladyduck.
mine would be like most filipinos - english, tagalog/filipino (the native language) and a native dialect (from the province where my parents came from).
how about you, what are those 3 languages you/most kenyans know?

i learned a few words and phrases when i worked in Kuwait (Arabic), and i speak English but not fluent.
on the ther hand, i speak a few regional languages here in my country

@aureliah just 3. i am not multilingual. 'few' is a small number'. 'several' is more than 3.

I speak 3 languages: my native language, English and Spanish. I know a little German and French, too, but I am not comfortably with my knowledge.
I think speaking 3 languages is really good.

@aureliah You've just pointed out the reason why I started studying Spanish. I like the Spanish music and I wanted to understand and sing the songs. I remember I bought a cassette that contained the lyrics and a dictionary and I tried to figure out the meaning. It was funny without any grammar knowledge. :)

English and Spanish are what I speak everyday and the rest in bits and pieces like I said.

I can speak Russian (my native language) and English. I learned Spanish when I was in high school but I know very little words to be able to have conversations in it.

I can read, write and speak 3 languages. Most Indians can speak more than or at least 2 languages.
